Calgary’s tech sector is holding a celebration this week, with the leading edge of Canadian technology innovation in the spotlight. And there’s a $10,000 reward for the best of them.
It’s the Innovate Calgary Annual Technology Showcase & Open House, now in its 13th year.
The Tech Showcase provides a high profile stage for the new high-tech companies driving innovation in this city.
“We’re providing a venue for people to interact and learn about what’s happening in Calgary’s vibrant advanced tech sector,” explained Dave MacKillop, manager of the Alastair Ross Technology Centre, where the event is hosted. “It’s all about facilitating connections and helping build key relationships that will lead to opportunities.”
The more than 400 anticipated attendees will all share a common community, some common challenges and uncommon enthusiasm.
“Our goal is to support the high-tech community, have a great afternoon of business networking, see some great companies and celebrate what they have to offer,” MacKillop said of the Tech Showcase in specific, and that city of entrepreneurs beyond.
