Acumatica 2021 R1 Recap
Acumatica’s biannual release continues in 2021 with R1! Today’s podcast with Aqurus team members Murray, Samantha, and Steve breaks down the key features and upgrades R1 brings to Acumatica’s enterprise resource planning software.
Acumatica strives to constantly improve usability and efficiency so you and your business can get more done with less. That theme continues in 2021 and is the main focus of the improvements found in the R1 release. Improvements to side panels allow you to pull up specific information on a piece of data without exiting the data list, which is part of Acumatica’s continuing enhancements to analytics. Acumatica accurately keeps track of your data and allows you to access the information and analytics that is most important to your business. Additionally, you can tailor Acumatica to your needs: There is a wealth of customization options designed to allow you to best handle your inventory, supply chain, and customers. Revamped notifications let you send personalized emails to your customers. They can be marketing-focused, reminder-based, and anywhere in between- it’s up to you. R1 also brings upgrades to vendor returns, construction and manufacturing improvements, and product lifecycle management (PLM). Acumatica can now scan inventory and give customers updates instantly, which is especially convenient in dealing with unexpected situations like shipping delays. R1 also brings the connection between retail and online closer than ever before. It’s never been easier to seamlessly integrate physical, brick-and-mortar stores with ecommerce. Customers can place orders online and pick up in store, as well as complete returns through the same process. Perhaps most importantly, Acumatica now supports true cross-company integration. Now, if you have tenants based in two countries, both can access the same database and exchange information without having to exit the system. Crucially, each can operate in their own currency and Acumatica automatically converts currencies without any manual input. No longer will you need two separate systems or clunky manual interfaces to exchange data between, say, your Canadian-based and American-based companies. It’s all about increasing efficiency and giving you the tools that allow you to best serve your customers. As President Murray Quibell says, “Acumatica is always pushing the technology boundary and finding new ways to increase flexibility, efficiency, and usability”.
