Acumatica is the Future of ERP and The Future of Business

As 2018 draws to a close and we look forward to 2019, all of us at Aqurus are anxiously anticipating what the future holds with Acumatica ERP software. Acumatica Summit 2019 is fast approaching and we want to take this opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past and visualize the future of cloud computing ERP solutions.

At Acumatica Summit 2018, Acumatica’s CEO described the company as a disruptive force in the ERP world – and we couldn’t agree more, for all the right reasons. We’ve listed a few of the articles that illustrate Acumatica’s impact in the industry this past year and discuss exciting things to anticipate in the year to come.

Cloud Computing is On the Horizon

With the advent of the Internet and cloud computing applications, users have become more and more familiar and comfortable with using applications on their mobile devices. They now expect and demand that same ease-of-use and flexibility from their ERP systems. All of this represents the new norm, and a paradigm shift in the ERP industry.

Most legacy and on-premises systems cannot take advantage of these new trends because the platforms and language they were originally written in do not support them. However, from the very beginning, Acumatica’s team of developers designed the ERP software using modern, cloud-based technology. As an open and flexible platform, Acumatica was created to integrate with multiple business applications and support the dynamic and ever-changing needs of business owners.

The Future of ERP Software is Usability

2018 was a big year for Acumatica. Using actual user reviews, the G2 Crowd User Satisfaction Ratings report and the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Management Suites 2018 report both recognized Acumatica as having the highest customer satisfaction ranking among cloud ERP vendors. Acumatica also won the CODiE Award for Best Cloud ERP Solution in 2018 (and in 2017). The criteria for this award include ease of implementation, how user friendly the software is and its mobile functionality.

At Aqurus we stand by Acumatica because we know they understand that usability and customer satisfaction go hand-in-hand. High usability and flexibility are at the centre of Acumatica’s development philosophy and the future of the software is rooted in these principles.

Coming Soon: Acumatica’s Alexa-Based App

One of the most exciting things to look forward to in ERP software is Acumatica’s partnership with Amazon Alexa for Business. Acumatica is working with Amazon on an Alexa skill that will recognize who is speaking and know which pieces of data each person has access to. Acumatica’s Alexa-based app hasn’t officially launched yet, Ajoy Krishnamoorthy the VP of platform strategy at Acumatica states, “…we need to build the confidence in the industry that technology like this can work with the right security — sometimes you have to go slow to go fast.”

Acumatica has been deliberately unhurried with the official roll out as they know how important refining and improving certain features, like security and authorization, are at the forefront of this technology. Acumatica’s Alexa skill is expected to launch publicly in the new year. We see this as just one of the many examples that future of business is cloud ERP software and the future of ERP is Acumatica.
