Imagine having a complete, real-time view of each of your customers. This is what every CRM vendor is aiming to provide – but they are all using different types of technology. How do you know what is best for you? We’ve compiled a list of the top must-read articles on comparing different types of CRM technology and how Acumatica stacks up against other vendors.
Assessing CRM Technology Based on Usability & Functionality
Every year, the Nucleus Research comes out with a report comparing, evaluating and ranking different CRM technologies. The most recent CRM Technology Value Matrix report, released April 2019, positions CRM SaaS vendors within four quadrants: Core Provider, Facilitator, Expert and Leader. This report does much more than plot the leading CRM SaaS vendors and on-premise vendors on a matrix based on the strength of their offerings. It provides accompanying analysis that can help business owners make the right decisions about the technology they’re considering. In the 2019 report, Nucleus finds that the leading CRM providers are doubling down on features and capabilities that allow users to link data among and beyond CRM applications and provide a complete real-time view of the customer. Based on these commonalities, this report assesses the products along two axes: one for usability and one for functionality. They further measured the CRM technologies under these criteria across sales, marketing and service.
How Does Acumatica CRM Software Rank?
We’re excited that Acumatica CRM once again landed in the Facilitator quadrant of the value matrix released in the Nucleus Research report. Maintaining its position in the Facilitator quadrant means Acumatica is holding its own at a time when the market is becoming increasingly competitive. Acumatica was able to hold its position for Greater Usability, in comparison to the last report released in February 2018. However, there were several areas where Acumatica gained a lot of ground – specifically, along the Better Functionality axis. Most other vendors who improved functionality decreased in usability. However, Acumatica added significant value to functionality without hindering usability – which means product development is going in the right direction. Here are the main improvements Nucleus Research noted in Acumatica CRM since the last report:
Enhancements in marketing automation
The ability to create and revise quotes within opportunities
Enhanced support for cross-module workflows
“Although Acumatica is primarily an enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendor, it is covered in the CRM Value Matrix because of its integration and breadth of features that make it a competitive CRM product.”
